Talford gets top EMA
job
A fired Memphis Fire Department Deputy Director is the new EMA Director
for Shelby County.
Claude Talford confirmed to Action News Five he accepted the job formerly
held by Clint Buchanan. Talford was fired in January after twenty four
years with the department.
The city denied the firing had anything do with a series of racially
charged emails between Talford and the head of the Progressive Black
Firefighters Association.
